about us

Our Missions Life

We believe in the call of God to love people and to preach the Gospel of Hope in Christ Jesus. To do this we have taken Matthew 25:34-40 as our lodestar to give the hungry something to eat, to give the thirsty something to drink, to invite the stranger in, to clothe those in need of clothes, to care for the sick and visit those in prison. This we do in places where few are prepared to go.

The steadfast love of the Father empowers us to consistently build relationships with needy, cast out and hurting people and to create platforms where love can replace iniquities and darkness with love, joy, giftings, anointings and freedom to grow in the knowledge of Christ Jesus.

Our Comforter, the Holy Spirit is our constant Companion and enables us to bring people out of the darkness into the glorious light of God’s Kingdom.

As trailblazers, we SWEEP clean to make room for the resurrection power of Jesus Christ and His grace and forgiveness in people’s lives through renewal and restoration.

Today marks 4 years in Botswana and we also have some exciting news.

Botswana

This is a highlight video of what our God has done for us in the ministry and on the missions field here in Botswana for 2023.

First Mission Field Update 2023

This is our first update of what’s been happening here in Botswana.

Christo and Luanni, the dedicated founders of Fish and Bread Ministries International, embarked on their mission in June 2016. Their vision was to establish an outreach ministry to take the Gospel to Johannesburg’s streets and some of the most dangerous areas where people are reluctant to go. They primarily ministered to drug addicts, prostitutes and homeless people. Their goal was to create a platform for individuals with a passion for Jesus, allowing them to serve and disciple others in the streets.

For over four years, from June 2016 to October 2020, Christo and Luanni by the guidance of the Holy Spirit, wholeheartedly ministered in Johannesburg, devoting their time and efforts to sharing the message of faith, love, repentance and salvation with the local communities. Their commitment to this outreach ministry has undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the lives of many, reflecting their unwavering dedication to serving others and spreading the love of Jesus. This ministry is currently being led by the different individuals who served with Christo and Luanni. The ministry is flourishing and many miracles and salvations are being witnessed every week.

In October 2020, the Holy Spirit led the Pieterse family to transition into full-time missionaries, known as SWEEP Missions,, embracing a new chapter of their journey in the serene village of Sepopa in Northern Botswana. Their dedication to Jesus Christ and their calling led them to plant three tree churches in separate villages and provide pastoral support to an existing local church. They passionately initiated various community upliftment projects. Their primary focus was on ministering and showing the love of Christ to the children in these communities, recognizing the importance of training up young disciples.

The Pieterse family’s impact extended beyond the local community, as they also hosted several short-term mission groups, imparting valuable knowledge about the mission field. Their children’s ministry became the cornerstone of their work, as they wholeheartedly engaged in activities such as feeding, playing with, and teaching the children about Jesus. This period marked a significant milestone for the family, as they began ministering together as a cohesive unit, leveraging the unique strengths and contributions of each family member. The Pieterse children, having grown and matured, were able to actively participate and contribute to the family’s mission, creating a powerful and unified force for positive change.

The Pieterse family is walking in radical obedience, currently serving on the ground in Tanzania, where God has planted them for such a time as this.

Since their transition to Tanzania in February 2025, they are now fully immersed in the call — partnering with Acts of Life Tanzania, a clinic serving children with cerebral palsy. Through follow-up care with families and strategic medical outreaches in surrounding communities, they are bringing both healing and hope —meeting physical needs while proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This isn’t just a mission. It’s a movement of obedience — to go where He sends, love like He loves, and reach the unreached with the truth that transforms.
